200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

200 hours

A 21-day, 200-hour residential yoga teacher training in North West Bali, blending Hatha and Vinyasa with shamanic ceremony, Ayurveda and yogic philosophy. You graduate with Yoga Alliance RYT-200 certification.

The curriculum is built around the Peruvian Medicine Wheel and structured in four cycles — release, understanding, growth, empowerment. Alongside asana, anatomy and the art of teaching, the training weaves in traditional ceremonies, pranayama, kriyas and energy work.

Held at a hillside villa complex overlooking the Bali Sea and the volcanoes of Java. Vegetarian meals, accommodation and full course materials are included.

The Training Experience

This is a full-immersion program. The school asks for dedication, commitment and surrender — and structures the days to match. You begin each morning with sunrise meditation, followed by a 90-minute asana practice and a vegetarian breakfast. Workshops, theory classes and group discussions fill the middle of the day. Evenings close with satsang: meditation, kirtan chanting, or ceremony.

The asana training covers two sequences you learn to teach: a slow, meditative Hatha flow rooted in the Sivananda tradition, and a more dynamic, breath-synchronised Vinyasa flow. Intelligent sequencing, alignment and hands-on adjustments are studied in depth, with peer teaching beginning from day one.

Beyond the mat, the curriculum draws on a wide range of sources. You study the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta, Upanishads, Tantric Yoga and Taoist philosophy alongside modern teachers. The Peruvian Medicine Wheel guides a parallel process of self-inquiry. Traditional ceremonies — full-moon, new-moon, letting-go, Andean despacho, cacao — are woven throughout the training.

Anatomy and physiology, Ayurvedic philosophy, chakras, bandhas and energetic anatomy are covered in dedicated sessions. You practise advanced pranayama, experience kriyas, and receive introductions to energy healing, massage and other holistic modalities. A session on conscious business addresses bringing yoga into the marketplace.

The training asks you to observe a vegetarian diet, abstain from alcohol and caffeine, and step back from technology and external communication for the duration. Every fifth day is free — four rest days across the three weeks — with optional excursions to waterfalls, temples, volcanoes and the coast.
