3-Day Private Grief and Loss Healing Retreat in Ubud
One-to-one sessions in yin yoga, clairvoyance and healing hypnotherapy, held in a quiet car-free village on the edge of Ubud.
A private, one-to-one grief retreat in Ubud, held over two nights at Flora Natural Studios in Penestanan. Every session is built around your experience of loss — whether a death, a difficult ending, or a shift that changed your life overnight.
Rikke combines yin yoga, clairvoyance, healing hypnotherapy and guided integration across the stay. You set the intentions together on arrival, and the program stays focused on your pace and your needs. The retreat is fully exclusive: no shared group, just you and your guide.
Penestanan is quiet and car-free, with rice fields on the doorstep and central Ubud a short walk away.

The Retreat Experience
The retreat opens with a welcome drink and a one-hour conversation. You name what you are carrying, and together you set intentions and grief goals for the time ahead. There is no pressure to tell the whole story at once — the opening is about creating a space where you can speak honestly and be heard without judgement.
That afternoon moves into yin yoga: gentle, heart-opening poses held for several minutes, paired with healing affirmations, guided meditation and mantra chanting. The practice is slow and supportive rather than physical, designed to help a tired nervous system settle. A second session the following morning continues this thread.
The clairvoyance session is the centrepiece of the stay. Rikke uses her clairvoyant abilities to read beneath the surface of what you are feeling, helping to identify the themes that need attention. She also offers the possibility of contact with loved ones who have passed — if they choose to come through, she describes what she sees, feels and hears, passing their messages on to you. Connection on this side is never guaranteed, but when it happens, it often becomes a turning point.
Healing hypnotherapy closes the working part of the retreat. In a focused, meditative state, you work with the subconscious layer where habits, core beliefs and deep emotions sit. The aim is to release old blockages and strengthen the inner resources you will lean on once you are home.
The final hour summarises what has surfaced and anchors practical integration tools, so the shift does not end when you check out.
Accommodation
Private Studio — Flora Natural Studios
Your room is one of five architect-designed natural studios in Penestanan, a quiet, car-free village on the edge of Ubud. Each studio is individually decorated with recycled Javanese doors, columns and panels, and original paintings by Indonesian artists.
Every studio has a private bedroom, private bathroom and an outdoor sitting area. There is no air conditioning; a cooling fan and fast Wi-Fi are provided.
Shared spaces include a white stone outdoor pool, an open-air living area and a kitchen where you can heat water for tea or coffee or prepare a simple meal. The property is backed by the sound of geckos, birds and frogs rather than traffic, and after dark you are welcome to swim in the pool in full quiet.
Flora is a five-minute walk along a tropical river path to the retreat venue where sessions take place. The price covers a single occupant.
Food & meals
Meals are not included. The retreat gives you the freedom to eat where you like, and Rikke recommends a vegetarian or vegan diet during the stay to support the depth of the work.
Next door, Warung La La Lili serves simple Balinese food at reasonable prices, with seating overlooking a lotus pond. They also sell fruit and vegetables that you can bring back and cook in the shared kitchen at Flora.
Central Ubud is a 15-minute walk or a short Grab or Gojek ride away, with a large supermarket and a wide range of cafes and restaurants. Rikke's personal recommendations include Yellow Flower Cafe, Moksa, Alchemy, Sayuri Healing Food, Zest, Seeds of Life and Usada. You can also use Grab or Gojek to have food delivered directly to Flora.

Location
The retreat is based in Penestanan, a calm village on the western edge of Ubud, in the mountainous centre of Bali. Ubud has long been regarded as the island's spiritual and cultural heart — the name itself comes from the Balinese word ubad, meaning medicine.
The area is known for its rice terraces, Hindu temples, traditional crafts and a large community of seekers, healers and yoga practitioners. Ubud Palace is roughly 2 kilometres away, and Ngurah Rai International Airport is approximately 39 kilometres from the venue.
About the venue
The retreat venue is a peaceful indoor-outdoor space surrounded by a meditation garden in Penestanan, designed to be quiet and visually calming — a place that supports reflection rather than distraction.
Your accommodation at Flora Natural Studios sits in the same village, in a car-free setting where the soundtrack is geckos, birds and frogs. A shared Javanese pavilion, white stone outdoor pool, open-air living area and kitchen are maintained for all guests. Flora is a five-minute walk from the retreat venue along a tropical river path.
