A four-day oceanfront retreat in East Sumbawa combining daily yoga, mindfulness meditation, and underwater meditation — a freediving-based practice guided by certified instructors. The setting is a quiet cliff above empty white-sand beaches, reached by a short flight from Bali.

Everything is included: accommodation, three meals daily, the full program, and all ocean equipment. Guests choose how deeply to engage — a structured rhythm of practice and movement, a personal silence path with digital detox, or a rest-first mode for burnout recovery.

The village holds only 24 units across 3.5 hectares of coastline. No beach clubs, no crowds — just the ocean setting the rhythm of the day.

The Retreat Experience

This is not a resort week with yoga added. The program is built around a specific idea: that the ocean itself — its rhythm, depth, and silence — is part of the practice. Mornings begin before dawn with tea and sunrise in silence, move into guided meditation, then an active yoga class to wake the body. After breakfast, the retreat goes underwater.

Underwater meditation is the distinctive thread here. It is not a performance sport; it is a mindfulness practice using freediving techniques — breathwork, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation — guided by AIDA-certified instructors. Two sessions daily, one in the late morning and one in the afternoon, with the house reef and calm bay as your practice space. Equipment and instruction are provided, and the pace suits beginners as well as experienced divers.

The late afternoon brings restorative yoga, and the evening closes with a second meditation. After dinner, the pool lights up with underwater music and stars above and below — a sensory session that feels unlike anything else on the schedule.

Between sessions, the retreat leaves real space. Swim from the beach, snorkel the reef, walk the coastline, paddleboard, or do nothing at all. The bay is protected and swimmable year-round, with warm water and no currents to manage.

Three modes of engagement are offered, and guests move between them as the week unfolds. Move & Rhythm is the full schedule — active, structured, designed to clear mental noise through practice and ocean immersion. Silence & Depth is a personal practice of quiet and digital detox; the village is not a formal silent centre, but silence is respected and supported with privacy. Eat & Sleep is for exhaustion and burnout: ocean-watching, quiet meals, long rest, and a nervous system allowed to settle at its own pace.

You leave stretched, salt-dried, fed, and noticeably quieter than when you arrived.

Program

The daily rhythm is full but spacious — two yoga classes, two meditation sessions, two underwater meditation dives, and the night pool session, with long gaps between for rest and ocean time.

  • 05:45 — Sunrise tea in silence, watching the sun come up over the ocean
  • 06:30 — Morning mindfulness meditation
  • 07:00 — Active yoga class, energising and invigorating
  • 08:30 — Breakfast
  • 10:00 — Underwater meditation session, guided freediving-based practice
  • 13:00 — Lunch
  • 14:30 — Second underwater meditation session
  • 16:30 — Restorative yoga, deep relaxation
  • 17:30 — Evening mindfulness meditation
  • 18:30 — Dinner
  • 20:00 — Night pool session with underwater music
  • 21:00 — Rest

All practices suit different levels, including beginners, and are guided without pressure. The schedule is the structure; participation is your choice.

The menu is built on a vegetarian base with fresh local seafood, plenty of vegetables, and attention to protein and variety. The approach is nourishing without restriction — even guests accustomed to more traditional eating find the food satisfying and well-balanced.

Three meals daily are included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Filtered water, black tea, Java green tea, Indonesian cacao, and coffee are available throughout the day.

Location

The retreat sits on a remote oceanfront cliff in East Sumbawa, Indonesia, near Bima Airport. The bay below is naturally protected, calm and swimmable year-round, with warm water and vibrant marine life.

Direct access to two untouched beaches from the property, with a third reachable by an easy trek. The surrounding landscape is wild coastal — cliffs, hills, clear water, and the Sangeang volcano rising from the sea. No beach clubs, no restaurants, no crowds.

Access is straightforward: a direct flight from Bali to Bima takes around one hour, followed by a two-hour drive through local villages and coastal scenery.

About the Organizer

The village brings together daily practice, ocean immersion, nourishing food, and thoughtful hospitality in an environment designed for slowing down and reconnecting.
