7-Day Juice Fasting & Balinese Yoga Retreat in Bali
A week of daily spa treatments, Watukaru Yoga, and a fasting protocol shaped around you — set between rice paddies and Pasut beach.
A week-long juice fasting and wellness retreat set between rice paddies and Pasut beach in Bali. Daily Balinese Watukaru Yoga and meditation anchor the mornings, with a different cultural activity each afternoon — from cooking classes to coconut oil making to a sound healing journey. One 60-minute spa treatment is included every day of your stay.
The detox program is shaped around you on arrival: choose intermittent fasting, full juice fasting, or a combined juice-and-water protocol, with vegetarian or vegan meals during your eating windows. Rooms are private with ensuite bathrooms, and the retreat centre runs this program year-round for individual arrivals rather than fixed group dates.
This is a flexible stay built around rest and daily practice, not a packed itinerary. It suits those looking for structured time to fast, reset their routine, and spend time in a quieter corner of Bali.
The Retreat Experience
Mornings follow a gentle, repeating rhythm. Breakfast is followed by a Balinese Watukaru Yoga session — a traditional practice that weaves together asana, meditation, and chanting, with the physical movement understood as preparation for stillness rather than the main event. The lineage traces to Mount Batukaru and the thirteen yogis said to have brought their practices there; instructors teach in English and sessions are open to all levels.
After yoga, the day opens up. Midday is for a massage, a book, a walk through the paddies, or simply resting. Lunch is brought to you, and the early afternoon continues at your pace. A second 60-minute spa treatment is scheduled most days, so there is rarely a point in the week where you are far from your next hour on the table.
Late afternoons bring the cultural program — a different activity each day, listed on the retreat centre's whiteboard. Over a week, that typically means a Balinese offering workshop, a cooking class, mandala drawing, coconut oil making, and at least one sound healing session. Some days offer Tai Chi, a sunset beach walk, or time at a local orphanage as optional additions.
The retreat centre is a joint effort with Pasraman Seruling Dewata, one of the island's older spiritual ashrams, and access to its grounds is part of the stay. Evenings are unhurried: dinner at half past six, then the quiet of a place that is a long way from Bali's busier southern strip.
This is a year-round program rather than a fixed group retreat, so you arrive and depart on your own schedule. The flexibility extends to the fast itself — your protocol is decided with the team on day one, and the digital detox is a suggested challenge rather than a requirement.

Accommodation
Private ensuite room
A private room with an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, a shower, desk, wardrobe, and a balcony. The centre has both modern and wooden bungalow rooms, with allocation based on availability at the time of your stay.
Food & meals
Three homemade meals are served daily. The kitchen prepares vegetarian and vegan food, with the specific plan shaped by your chosen fasting protocol.
Intermittent fasting (20:4) — eat within a four-hour window, typically 11:00 to 15:00. Meals during the window are antioxidant-rich and plant-based, served with fresh fruit and your choice of detox juice or smoothie. Outside the window: infused water and unsweetened herbal tea.
Full juice fast — detox juices and smoothies three times a day, plus coconut water, detox water, and herbal tea throughout. Light snacks (nuts, raw vegetables, dates, chia pudding, oatmeal, steamed tofu, smoothie bowls) are available on request.
Juice–water–juice protocol — a stepped approach for those with prior fasting experience: juice fast for 24–36 hours, water fast for 24–48 hours, then transition back to juice. Discussed with the team on arrival to make sure the approach suits your situation.
Your protocol is finalised with the team on day one. The centre also offers a digital detox challenge alongside the food fast.
Location
The retreat is set among rice paddies with views of Pasut beach, on Bali's quieter southwest coast. It is a deliberate move away from the busier tourist areas of the island's south.
