An eight-day emotional wellness retreat in North Bali built around daily yoga, meditation, Balinese purification ceremonies, spa treatments and private healing sessions. The program moves between inner work — release meditations, a fire cleansing ritual with four priests, a private session of your choice — and time outward, including waterfall ceremonies, dolphin watching, temple visits and cultural workshops.

Suitable for all yoga levels. Days follow a steady rhythm of morning practice, a guided experience or excursion, and free afternoons by the pool or the sea. Accommodation ranges from simple fan rooms on the retreat's hilltop to air-conditioned rooms at a nearby hotel, with a shuttle between them.

The Retreat Experience

You arrive to an airport pickup and a welcome on the hilltop. The first evening sets the tone: a dynamic meditation to shake off the flight, a shared dinner, and a traditional Balinese dance performance under the open sky. From there, the week opens up.

Mornings begin with yoga — restorative flows, Hatha, or Balinese Healing Yoga Markandeya, depending on the day — followed by breakfast and the morning's guided experience. That might be a full Balinese spa day with herbal scrubs, honey massage and a healing herbal bath; a trip to the Santhipala waterfall for a seven-chakra purification ceremony led by a Balinese healer, including a sacred clay ritual; or a private healing session chosen from energy work, chakra balancing, holistic bodywork, or metaphorical cards.

Afternoons are yours. The retreat centre sits on a rock above the coast, with a pool, gardens and walking paths. You can swim, journal, read in the library, or walk down to the nearby sea. Some days include cultural activities — a Balinese cooking class, a workshop on crafting sacred offerings or preparing traditional jamu, learning the basics of Balinese massage.

Evenings carry the emotional work. Meditations for release and self-acceptance, a fire cleansing ceremony conducted by four Balinese priests, a group sound healing session, and an optional sharing circle where the group gathers without obligation. One evening closes with a beach barbecue served on banana leaves under the stars.

Excursions widen the frame: dolphin watching by boat at sunrise with optional snorkelling, a meditation at the Brahmavihara Buddhist temple, and a soak in sacred hot springs. The final morning is a soft restorative practice and time to integrate before transfers back to the airport.

This is a program that holds both intensity and ease — mornings that ask something of you, afternoons that let you rest, and evenings that offer space to process what surfaced during the day.
