A twelve-day wellness retreat in North Bali built around daily yoga, meditation, sound healing, Balinese purification ceremonies, and one-on-one healing sessions. The program blends Hatha, Restorative and Balinese Yoga Markandeya with self-awareness workshops, spa treatments, and guided excursions to waterfalls, temples and the Bali Sea.

The retreat suits people recovering from burnout, navigating a life transition, or simply needing a long pause in a quiet place. Practices are gentle to moderate and open to all levels. North Bali's less-touristed coast sets the tone: dolphins at dawn, volcanic hot springs, and a hillside centre where the stairs are part of the rhythm.

The Retreat Experience

Days begin slowly. A morning yoga session — sometimes Hatha, sometimes the slower supported holds of Restorative — opens the body before breakfast. Meditation follows, guided and unhurried, with space to sit with whatever arrives.

The middle of the day shifts between inner work and outward exploration. Self-awareness workshops use metaphorical cards, journaling and group conversation to surface patterns worth examining. Private healing sessions — one-to-one with a practitioner using energy work, therapeutic conversation, or other holistic techniques — let you go deeper on whatever you are carrying. On other afternoons, the retreat leaves the hill: a snorkeling trip to swim near wild dolphins, a traditional purification ceremony at a private holy waterfall led by a local priest, or a visit to Bali's largest Buddhist temple followed by a soak in mineral-rich hot springs.

Sound healing sessions use Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and chimes — you lie back and let the resonance do the work. Three spa treatments are woven into the stay, including a detox treatment and a Balinese-style Queen or King session using local techniques and ingredients.

Balinese Yoga Markandeya — a practice rooted in the island's spiritual traditions, blending physical postures with ritual — runs through the program alongside the more familiar Hatha and Restorative classes. It is one of the things that makes this retreat feel specifically Balinese rather than generically tropical.

The full-day Grand Lovina excursion takes in waterfalls, Lake Beratan's Ulun Danu Temple, botanical gardens, local markets and the twin lakes viewpoint. A cooking class gives you something practical to carry home.

Evenings are unstructured. The property sits on a rocky hillside — stairs connect the rooms to the practice spaces — and the pace invites rest. You are likely to leave tired in the honest way: stretched, treated, fed, and noticeably quieter than when you arrived.

Program

The retreat runs over twelve days with a daily rhythm rather than a fixed hour-by-hour timetable.

  • Morning practice — daily yoga (Hatha, Restorative, and Balinese Yoga Markandeya) and guided meditation
  • Workshops and healing — self-awareness workshops using metaphorical cards and reflective exercises; private one-on-one healing sessions tailored to your needs
  • Bodywork — three spa treatments across the stay, including a detox session and a Balinese Queen/King treatment
  • Excursions — guided trips including wild dolphin snorkeling, a private holy waterfall purification ceremony, Bali's largest Buddhist temple with holy hot springs, and the full-day Grand Lovina tour
  • Sound healing — sessions with Tibetan singing bowls, gongs and chimes
  • Cooking class — hands-on session with the retreat kitchen
  • Free time — afternoons and evenings to rest, walk, or explore the nearby beach

Arrival and departure days are part of the twelve-night stay.
