20-Day 200-Hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud
Two asana sessions a day across six styles, with teaching practice woven through twenty days — not bolted on at the end. Mornings start before the Bali heat.
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
A 20-day, 200-hour multi-style yoga teacher training in Ubud, Bali, accredited by Yoga Alliance. The syllabus spans Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin, Ashtanga and prenatal asana, alongside pranayama, meditation, mantra chanting, anatomy, philosophy and teaching methodology. On completion, graduates are eligible to register as RYT 200.
The program runs six days a week with one rest day, structured around two daily asana sessions, technique classes, and evening yoga nidra with sound healing. Class sizes stay between 12 and 15 students. It suits aspiring teachers and practitioners looking to deepen their understanding — no prior teaching experience required.
Accommodation, three vegetarian meals daily, airport pickup and weekend excursions are included in the course fee.
The Training Experience
Twenty days is long enough to shift something. Mornings begin before the heat with pranayama and meditation, followed by a ninety-minute asana practice — Hatha and Iyengar in the morning, with a strong emphasis on alignment and adjustment. Breakfast is at half past nine, then the middle of the day moves into theory: anatomy, teaching methodology, and the mechanics of sequencing a class from warm-up to savasana.
Afternoons hold space for rest and self-study before the second asana session — this time Vinyasa and flow, building the stamina and rhythm you'll need when you start teaching your own classes. The day closes with yoga nidra and sound healing, a deliberate wind-down after eight or more hours of learning.
The syllabus is broad by design. You move through multiple asana traditions rather than specialising in one, which means you leave equipped to teach mixed-level classes and adapt to different student bodies. Eastern practices — pranayama, shatkarma kriyas, mantra chanting, mudras and bandhas — sit alongside Western anatomy and practical teaching methodology. Philosophy sessions cover the history of yoga and yoga darshan, grounding the physical work in its original context.
Teaching practice is woven through the program, not saved for the final days. You build lesson plans, practise verbal cues, learn to offer modifications and read contraindications. By the end you have taught in front of your peers and received feedback, so the step from student to teacher is one you have already rehearsed.
Ubud provides the setting: a town built around yoga, with the Sayan ridge and its ravines just outside. The training is intensive — expect long days and a fair amount of discipline — but the rhythm is steady rather than punishing, and weekends are free for excursions into the surrounding landscape.
