5-Day Ayurvedic Yoga & Spa Retreat in Tanah Lot, Bali
Daily yoga, a Balinese purification ceremony, and two 90-minute spa treatments — shaped around your dosha from the day you book.
A five-day Ayurvedic retreat at De Moksha Eco-Friendly Boutique Resort in Tanah Lot, Bali. Built around a pre-arrival Ayurvedic questionnaire and consultation, the program is shaped to your dosha and includes daily yoga, meditation, two 90-minute spa treatments, a Balinese purification ceremony, a cooking or beauty-care class, and guided excursions through rice fields and villages.
Set between rice fields and lush tropical gardens, De Moksha offers private villas with open-air bathrooms, an on-site restaurant, communal pools, and a spa. Three meals daily are prepared from locally sourced ingredients. All yoga and meditation classes at the resort are included in the retreat, and every scheduled activity is optional — the pace is yours to set.
The Retreat Experience
The retreat begins before you arrive. An Ayurvedic questionnaire and consultation shapes a suggested daily schedule around your dosha — what to eat, which practices to prioritise, which spa treatments suit your constitution. Nothing is fixed, and every activity is optional, but the consultation gives the week its direction.
Days open at 7:00 with a morning yoga session, followed by breakfast in the on-site restaurant overlooking the rice fields. Late mornings bring a cultural or Ayurvedic activity — a cooking class, a cycling tour through neighbouring villages, or a walk to Tanah Lot. Afternoons hold a second yoga session, then spa treatments for those scheduled that day. Evenings are for dinner, journaling, and rest, with lights out by 21:00.
One morning stands apart: a Melukat purification ceremony led by a Balinese shaman on the second day. The guided walks and bike rides take you beyond the resort grounds — through rice paddies, local villages, and to the Tanah Lot Temple for sunset.
The villas are designed to slow you down. Open-air bathrooms with outdoor rain showers, lyocell bed linens, and custom-blend natural body products make the private spaces as much a part of the retreat as the shala. Between sessions, the communal pools, gardens, and restaurant terrace are all there for the hours with nothing scheduled.
