6-Day Pottery, Yoga & Sound Healing Retreat in Bali
Daily Watukaru yoga, hands-on pottery, and a Balinese massage every day — set in rice paddies near Pasut beach.
A six-day stay in Bali's rice paddies combining pottery making, daily yoga, sound healing and Balinese cultural activities. Mornings begin with Watukaru yoga and meditation; afternoons move between the pottery studio, spa treatments, and excursions like waterfall visits and temple tours. Evenings close with a shared vegetarian meal.
The retreat runs year-round as an individual booking rather than a fixed group start date, so you arrive and depart on your own schedule. Suitable for all yoga levels, and no prior pottery experience is needed. The setting is rural and quiet — rice fields on one side, Pasut beach within reach — with a digital detox encouraged throughout.
The Retreat Experience
The rhythm here is slow and deliberate. Each morning opens with a ninety-minute Balinese Watukaru yoga and meditation session — a traditional lineage practice taught at one of Bali's oldest spiritual ashrams. The practice is followed by free time that the retreat encourages you to spend quietly: journal, walk the rice paddies, or take up the digital detox challenge and leave the phone off.
Afternoons carry the variety. One day you are at the wheel in a pottery workshop, shaping clay with guidance from a local artisan. Another afternoon might be a Tanah Lot temple tour with sunset on the beach, a waterfall purification, or an organic coconut oil making session. The cultural activities rotate daily on a set schedule rather than by individual choice, so the week unfolds as a curated sequence rather than a pick-and-mix.
A sixty-minute Balinese massage is included every day — a genuine daily treatment, not an add-on. On Day 5, a sound healing session with Tibetan singing bowls and chimes closes the evening, subject to teacher availability.
Meals are vegetarian and vegan, prepared on-site from locally sourced ingredients, with three served each day. The kitchen treats food as part of the wellness program rather than a backdrop.
The retreat centre sits among rice paddies with views towards Pasut beach. It is removed from Bali's busier tourist areas, and the atmosphere reflects that: quiet, unhurried, closer to village life than resort life.
