9-Day Gaia Bali Immersion Retreat
Nine days of yoga, breathwork and ceremony between the jungle rice terraces of Tabanan and the wild Balinese coast.
A nine-day immersion in Bali split between two landscapes: six nights among the rice terraces and jungle of Kusfarm Eco Resort, then two nights on the ocean at Rejuvenate Beachfront. Guided by Lisa and Raphael Mathes, the program weaves multi-style yoga, sonic neural breathwork, somatic movement, kundalini activations, cacao ceremony and fire rituals into a rhythm of dawn practice, daytime deep work and evening gathering.
The structure is intentional but unhurried — every session is optional, and the schedule leaves room for rest, reflection and the land itself. You will walk barefoot on volcanic sand, join a Balinese tree-planting ceremony, and move between silence, breath and community as the days unfold.
The Retreat Experience
The nine days are shaped around two very different settings, and the shift between them is part of the arc. You begin at Kusfarm Eco Resort, where the jungle, rice terraces and river set a slower tempo — mornings start at dawn with breath and asana, voices soft in the early quiet, and the days open into longer sessions of release and activation. The second half moves to the oceanfront at Rejuvenate Beachfront, where the program tilts towards celebration, fire ceremonies and the wilder edge of the coast.
The practices themselves are varied and embodied rather than purely physical. Sonic neural breathwork, somatic healing, shadow work, kundalini activations and white tantra sit alongside multi-style yoga that is accessible to beginners while still stretching more experienced practitioners. There is voice activation and music circles, cacao ceremonies where stories are shared, and nights around the fire where song and movement take over.
Everything is held within a real relationship with the land. You walk barefoot on volcanic sand, hike with a guide through the surrounding forest and temples, and take part in a Balinese tree-planting ceremony — an act of devotion, not a photo opportunity. Meals are taken together, often in silence, and the food is treated as part of the practice: sattvic, plant-forward, locally grown.
The container is communal but not pressurised. All activities are optional, there is time built in for solitude and integration, and the group is held as companions rather than an audience. You arrive as a participant; by the end, the intention is that you leave as part of a continuing tribe, with an integration booklet, a shared playlist and an invitation into ongoing online programs to carry the work home.
Program
The retreat follows a gentle daily rhythm rather than a rigid timetable, with all activities optional and space held for rest and your own pace.
Arrival day
Check-in from 12:30 PM. Settle into your room, meet the group, and join the opening circle in the evening.

The immersion ends after breakfast on the final morning, with check-out at 2:00 PM.

Accommodation
Your stay is split between two venues: six nights at Kusfarm Eco Resort among the rice terraces and jungle, then two nights at Rejuvenate Beachfront on the ocean. Rooms are assigned for the full nine nights.
Shared Room
The standard option is a shared room, designed for connection and community. Double rooms or single occupancy of a shared-room type are available on request at additional cost.
Private Single Room
A private single room with its own pool, for those who want solitude and space to decompress between sessions.
Food & meals
Three meals a day are included, served at both venues. The kitchen works in a sattvic, plant-forward style — pranic and detox-leaning, with produce drawn from local farms and the resort's own gardens.
Breakfasts are Balinese or Ayurvedic in character: millet, rice or seed bowls with seasonal fruit, vegetable juices, herbal teas, chai, matcha, coffee and medicinal mushroom milk drinks. Lunches are high-energy, raw or cooked, often eaten together in community or as a silent practice. Dinners are warm and grounding — soups, curries and cooked dishes designed to ease the body into recovery for the night.
The menu is vegetarian by default, with pescetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
Location
The immersion moves between two parts of Bali.
Kusfarm Eco Resort lies near the peaceful river of Bajera in Selemadeg, Tabanan — an ecological setting surrounded by natural tropical forest, rice terraces and jungle. Lush plantations meet volcanoes on the horizon, with hiking trails, hot springs and sacred temples nearby.
Rejuvenate Beachfront sits on the ocean's edge, about five minutes from the Gaia Bali lands — a place of sunsets, big waves and open horizon, where the closing rituals and ceremonies take place.
About the venues
KusFarm
Kusfarm Eco Resort is a sanctuary of grounding and deep opening. You practice surrounded by jungle, rivers and ancient temples, with food drawn directly from local farms and the resort's gardens. The pace here is slow, and the land does a lot of the work.
Rejuvenate Beachfront is where the retreat opens outward. The sound of the ocean and golden sunsets accompany the closing rituals, with space for fire ceremony, dance and the wilder side of the program.
About the organizer
Gaia Bali Retreats
Gaia Bali is a living sanctuary for transformation, remembrance and community. Its vision is to co-create a New Earth — where humans live in deep connection with themselves, each other and nature. Through yoga, breathwork, embodiment and ceremony, Gaia Bali guides people back to their essence so they can embody their gifts and share them with the world. This immersion is a founding step in that vision, and the seed of a continuing tribe and set of online programs.
